Van Halen released their 7th studio album 5150 on March 24th, 1986 which became their first album to top the US chart. The first of four albums to be recorded with singer Sammy Hagar, who replaced David Lee Roth was named after Eddie Van Halen's home studio, 5150, in turn named after a California police code for a mentally disturbed person.
